When sports gambling becomes mainstream and legal virtually everywhere, do you think ESPN will eventually become a sports book and allow bets right on their app. Seems like this with streaming live games is their most logical response to losing the cable cutters

I'm trying to figure out how to work a negative ESPN comment in here. Hold on.

Unless they poached some of the best in the business to run the book, they would get completely demolished

They need to find something to do besides ignore the two biggest events in sports this weekend since they're on Fox.

Partner with an existing book. Would be surprised if this didn't happen. Click an embedded link and go to the Westgate or whatever books gsme or do it directly in the app.

To me, its an obvious transition and would make it so much more convenient for degenerates like myself. Literally could just hit a button on your tv remote and to see live lines and make bets as the game goes.

They won’t, but it would be the smartest thing they did in 10 years.

A few years ago they had the lines and over/unders on their ticker at the bottom of the broadcast. They did it for a couple of weeks and I can’t remember what made them stop doing it but I think it was the NCAA.

Mickey Mouse charging a hundred fricking bucks to get in a theme park and calling gambling immoral is hypocrisy of the highest order.

No, ESPN will be like TVG, only the mentally challenged will bet with them. Others will bet where they get rebates and best odds, w/o fees. I could see ESPN charging a monthly fee on top of the already juice.

ESPN could frick up a wet dream
