Watching this Kobe Bryant documentary and watching the highlights from early in his career reminded me that I couldn't stand the kid then.
But now I am a big fan of his. Seems humble but stil very competitive. Also acknowledges his mistakes.
JOrdan>bryant>james.

A lot of people have done a 180 on Kobe now that he's at the twilight of his career.
I'm proud to say he's been my favorite player since before he had those two air balls vs Utah in the playoffs as a 18 year old rookie.
I think it's safe to say Kobe has come a long way since then

i wouldnt be upset if i never heard of kobe again. He is one that ive always hated and always will. While he is an amazing talent and i respect is game, i do not like him and never will.

A simple "I disagree" would have been fine.

I can respect that.
And my answer to the OP is LeBron James.
I despised him through his first Cleveland tenue and hated him even more in Miami.
I don't "like" him but he's probably the most naturally talented, freak of nature specimen I'll ever see on a basketball court and I really hope he brings a championship to Cleveland this year.

John Wall - I used to think he was an immature and over-hyped bust waiting to happen. I was obviously wrong and he's turned out to be one of the more humble stars in the NBA.

Derek Jeter, prob cuz he was always winning with the Yankees. I then realized how nice of guy he was and saw all the chicks he banged.

Jimmy Graham. My entire perception of him changed last week.

For me, it was Joe Montana, because I grew up watching him beat the Saints in the 49ers heyday.
Later on, I realized what an amazing QB he was.

Phillip Rivers. I always thought he was a huge tool.
