because you don't know how to google? "Lebron Allen practice shooting"
LINK
1. He's shooting 3s like Ray Allen.
First, a little story: Several of the team's finest shooters would participate in a shooting contest every day after practice during the season. This has been a daily ritual for years now, but Allen's presence raised the stakes for Miami's sharpshooters such as Mike Miller, James Jones, Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers and other ambitious players.
So, one day after a long shooting competition that wrapped up a preseason practice, Allen walked over to the waiting media huddle, wiped off his sweat with his jersey and began fielding questions.
Predictably, here was the first query: So, did you win the shooting contest?
Allen shook his head and laughed, "Nope. LeBron did, believe it or not."
This has happened a few times. Allen comes over to the media and he admits that James has beaten him in a shooting contest. Wait -- James consistently beating arguably the greatest 3-point shooter in a shooting contest? How is this possible?
I asked myself the same question late Monday night after watching James hit 3-point shot after 3-point shot against the poor Rockets. On the night, James scored 38 points with 15 of those points coming from beyond the arc. James is now shooting 52 percent (13-for-25) from downtown on the season, just shy of Allen's 54 percent rate.

How easily I get under your skin. It's fantastic really.

Curry is probably more skilled, you could make that arguement.
But Curry had to have mastery over many skills to make it to the league because he doesn't have great talent.
MJ is not far behind Curry in overall skill, but he's so far ahead in pure talent that he's clearly the greater player. Curry, even with his skill will never have dominance over the game the way MJ did.

Sounds like an upset.

You are now entering the 5th dimension where life isn't what it seems. You may see a man with double d's, a tiger and antelope befriend one another, or a Democrat lobbying for the demolition of welfare. Don't be afraid. This is real life.

Fwiw, I'm loving the new "different skillset, different eras" copout. It's like saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Nobody denied that, MJ fanboys feel like they have to give a compliment every time they say he isn't the best at something.

bron isn't the best shooter. But he's a better one than MJ from outside. stats support this if you compare their primes.

Easily. And has a prettier 2 year old.

And probably a better baseball player.

It can not be discounted. Go look at Larry Bird s statistics. Do we agree that he s an all time great shooter? Go look at how FEW 3s he took. He'd take 6-7 a game in today's NBA. in that era, the BEST shooter in the league barely took 3s. It is impossible to compare eras.

Very good point.

I mean it d be like saying Matt Ryan is a better quarterback than joe Montana because he's passed for more yards. The games change.

I'm not discounting it completely. Just don't let it be the end of your analysis. It's lazy.

How the hell did Lebron get entered into this discussion? This is about more skilled MJ or Curry.

I'm definitely not an MJ fanboy.
But there are many in this thread that are clearly clueless as to what constitutes skill. They can't differentiate it from talent.
Skills are what you learn. Talent is what you are given. There are people on the streets with better skills than NBA players, but they're devoid of talent. Without talent you have no way of translating that skill to the big stage.
A player with mediocre skill and phenomenal talent will make millions. A player with phenomenal skills but who's 5'5'' 130 lbs will make it to college intramurals. Talent trumps skill ultimately.
I don't know why people take it personally when someone says Curry can do a number of things better than MJ. It's obvious.

You've posted twice in this thread with posts shorter than tweets, discounting people s arguments and showing a fundamental unwillingness to add anything meaningful to this conversation... And we re lazy?

Yeah. And I think Jordan clearly didn't work on three point shooting as much as modern guys because the shot was not as important. In today's game, offenses actually revolve around the three point line. Getting open threes is a huge part of the game.
