Horrible ump. Basically the same damn pitch and he's flipping a coin in his mind as to whether it's a strike or ball. Batter had no damn choice but to swing at one in the lefty batters box.
Eta: That same damn pitch was strike 3 on the 1st out, ball 4 on the tying run, and then swung-and-missed strike 3 on the 3rd out.

LOL give that last strikeout to the umpire. He kept on extending the zone well off the plate so the Southern Miss hitter had no option but to swing at the last pitch.

Keeping it a 1 run game does nothing but help Texas. Not saying they would have gotten more without the huge zone, but there's no fricking way the batter has a chance when that far out is a strike.

I was in hattiesburg yesteday, and it seems the city is really getting behind the team. Many of the resturaunts ( canes, buffalo wild wings...etc )all had go usm on their signs.,
