The sportsmanship policy’s “standard” disciplinary action includes a fine and 1 or 2-game suspension.

the fine is maxed out at 10k. So basically Michigan's ticket budget.

Do you just eat that if you are Michigan's AD so you can say punishments been served or do they dig in?

Several sources at Michigan and in the media tell TheWolverine.com they are gathering evidence on two private investigators they believe are behind the investigation into U-M’s alleged illegal on-site scouting. The same sources also believe the two are responsible for the media leaks that have kept the story in the news for weeks.

Both allegedly have ties to Ohio State head coach Ryan Day’s family.

quote:

Reporters are working to put the pieces together, but we know Michigan is currently in possession of documents that could link one of the alleged investigators to Day’s younger brother, Timothy Day. The other they suspect is linked to Day’s brother, Christopher, and was also a classmate of Tim Day’s in New Hampshire. One currently runs a private investigation firm in Manchester, N.H., Day’s hometown.

not surprising that Ryan Day/OSU was involved in this whole thing. the constant drip drip drip leaking of the news. people laughed at Sam Webb when he said that it's interesting that Ryan Day (who is from New Hampshire) has a brother (Chris). There's a person by the name of Chris Day in NH who just happens to have a private firm called 4th and 1.

also, the Washington post writer (Will Hobson) who wrote that an outside firm dug up info at UM, was a grad asst at Boston college from 2003-2006, and Ryan Day was ALSO at BC from 2003-2004

also, Pete Thamel's known to be an OSU-fellating writer, and he COINCIDENTALLY i'm sure, broke the story the week of the MSU game

ryan day about to get his arse beat

So the alleged cheating is fine, but the alleged uncovering of that cheating is highly problematic for you?

It isn’t even Day’s brother’s firm. Matt Brown already confirmed this.

Article also says people in the program cooperated with the firm. Why in the world would Michigan athletics cooperate with a 3rd party firm if it was Day’s brother?

what?

who said UM was? from what has been reported, the outside firm was able to access information about UM. i haven't read anywhere which stated that UM cooperated with the outside firm

it matters if it was uncovered ILLEGALLY, not necessarily who uncovered it

if the NCAA/Big 10/gov't agency did it w/ UM's knowledge, cool. the way the article reads, an illegal hacking/search was conducted to access UM's computer system by an outside firm

i.e. a felony level act was performed to find information. so yeah, it DOES matter

clown? seriously?

2 things

1) we're gonna obliterate you on Nov 25

2) the Univ of Michigan will take LEGAL action, not just complain to the NCAA, if it was determined that a felony level act was taken to acquire any information

bank on it. this goes beyond the NCAA and just football. this is gonna involve a bunch of legal teams and going to court about what OSU possibly did

JH will go in dry on Nov 25

You couldn't beat Indiana and lost by 40 to Wisky the last time your program wasn't cheating.

But sure
