Fair enough. Nashville and Dallas are the closest. And they are pretty good.

I love that we have a “NBA is exploding” and “people will never like soccer in America because of flopping” within posts of each other.

Just a little contradictory if you ask me

My son has moved up to the age where you play goalies. He is 8, I really enjoy watching soccer more than most sports. It's a ball.

Detroit.

Our team sucks right now, but we just opened an awesome new arena, and will hopefully have a new GM in the next 2 years.

I got into hockey in college when I got in with a group of guys that all had their own teams.

However, if you want to follow a "nearby" team, Nashville is a fun team to follow. Been to a few games up there, always had a great time.

That's the one I've been mulling over becoming a fan of, but since they just finally got good, I know I'd be accused of being a bandwagoner. Plus, they're acting like they're the official hockey team of the south with every country music star and starlet suddenly becoming the biggest fan. I'm afraid they're about to turn into the Dallas Cowboys of NHL.

I'd easily watch a random game of T-20 cricket over a baseball game

First year I followed Detroit, they lost the Stanley Cup. They've done nothing but go downhill. frick what anyone else thinks, pick a team that you can identify with and you'll have a blast. The NHL is an emotional roller coaster. Incredibly fun.

Soccer is ghey.

VERY ghey.

We might be angry at the idiots kneeling for our National Anthem due to a false narrative, but we still won't be watching soccer. Ever

I chose Detroit because I would always play with them on Sega back in the day, they have an awesome jersey, colors are red and white, 2 of my friends absolutely hated them, Pavel Datsyuk, and Nicklas Lidstrom.

I've loved playing defense in every sport I've ever played. Watching Lidstrom was like something I've never seen. Was an absolute pleasure.

Yeah Detroit was always on back in the 90s when i was a kid. For good reason.

Those series with Colo were so amazing

Soccer games are shorter than football games, NBA games, and NASCAR races

Good thing the games are less than 2 hours long.
