We’ve been in the desert long enough.

Shoutout to running back Dare Ogunbowale with the 29 yard field goal

That was awesome.

I wish I had time to revisit some pre draft threads

I thought most here liked Stroud over Bryce. Mostly because of size

Most here seemed to have Stroud behind Young and Levis (which was really dumb).

He got paired with two horrible defenses.
Last year’s defense wasn’t terrible, and there were definitely some noticeable improvements from the 2020-2021 years. But with Knowles in his first year, and a lot of underclassman, it does create a lot of “what ifs” as fans, especially with JSN out and Henderson banged up, on the other side of the ball.

That said, they were still a play or two away from likely winning the national championship, because I think OSU would have likely won against TCU.

2019 was similar with a play or two away from winning the playoff game, and arguably the best team in OSU history, but less of what if since OSU would have had to face an all time great LSU team in the championship. I think they would have fared better than Clemson, but would have had to bring their A game to have a chance.

Yeah, he is. Looks like the better QB between him and Bryce. Of course it's early.

Looks like the Texans losing the #1 pick by winning that game turned out to be a great thing.

You’ve been following the story right? Started in 2021.
I think that 2021 UM defense was fairly legit, or at least not unexpectedly good, since Macdonald was by all accounts a damn good DC (doing a good job with the Ravens) plus even though Hutchinson’s breakout year may otherwise be a red flag, his performance in the NFL has shown that it wasn’t some aberration.

That said, I think losing those players, and losing Macdonald, then bringing in Minter who does not seem to be the “home run” type hire, and actually improving pretty significantly on defense in 2022 and 2023 is where things get a little sketchy.

Maybe they would have smoked tcu. Maybe not. I mean they couldn’t even beat Michigan…
