I know people have been been predicting USC to be "back" for a while, but if they don't make some noise this year with all that returning talent, idk if they ever will. Chase should've received at least an invite last time imo. The Minnesota QB is a good sleeper as well.

Slovis will fall out of the race after Alabama knocks their dicks in the dirt in the first game.

If Larry Fitzgerald didn't win the Heisman in 2003, I don't know if we'll see a WR only win one ever again.

Minnesota will fall back to the 7-5 range this season. Everything aligned perfectly for them last year. It will be very similar to Syracuse having that great 2018 because they beat up on a bunch of nobodies and then crashing back to earth in 2019 when the expectations were ramped up.

I mean, they're talking dark horses, so it's already kinda implied that things have to fall their way in stats and wins anyway

Good point.

Someone like Spencer Sanders would be the darkhorse candidate for me. Oklahoma State should have a big season on offense and their passing game should be explosive with defenses loading up to stop Chuba Hubbard.

What are the odds on Hubbard? Don't you think they would split votes?

That’s cute but Alabama doesn’t win that game by more than 13. Golding is still DC

USC just had a recruiting class that didn’t land a single ESPN 300 player. Or something like that.

Their arse is a long way from “back”

Their last recruiting class was near the bottom of the Pac, but the effects of that probably won't show in the next two seasons. Before that their classes were highly rated

I do think PJ Fleck has enhanced the profile for Minnesota — both sides needed each other; Minnesota had no identity and Fleck couldn’t push his face across a bigger program (i.e. Oregon).

That said, this will be an interesting year for Minnesota because they hit almost every perfect spot last season. Lucky as can be to win their first three games, then continued on through the parade of opposing backup QBs. Great win versus Penn State, but got pushed around against its rivals.
