Since Everyone is Talking About Terrelle Pryor, I'll Put in my Two Cents

Did he live up to all the hype in yall's eyes? I mean it seemed to me that when he got there he was supposed to take tOSU to four consecutive NC's and win them all. I don't think he was as good a player as advertised. What say you?

31-6 as a starter over 3 years with 2 BCS wins, 3 wins over Michigan and 3 Big10 titles. He's a giant douche and possibly bringing the entire program down, but realistically I don't think you could expect more.

One would expect him to be at least a functional scholar-athlete? no?

He kicked arse in the Big 10. Take that for what it was.

and lets not forget his MVP performance toward putting tOSU in the NCAA shithouse!!

He won a lot of jewelry (3 Big Ten rings, Rose Bowl MVP, Sugar Bowl MVP, 3 Golden Pants). I wonder if one day he'll look back and wish he had kept them.

I think OSU will be forced to wipe out anything to do with TP.

I think TP should get a shot in the NFL. If Rusty Smith can get serious minutes as an NFL QB, TP couldn't do worse.
Terrelle made a huge mistake in selecting OSU and their conservative offense. At another school, he could have put up huge #s.

He wanted to go to OSU to become a pocket QB, not a college where he could definitely put up #'s. Which I guess doesn't matter much anymore when you see players like Tebow and Cam getting drafter a lot higher than they should.

You are 100% right, it doesn't matter anymore.

I think Defense won those games more than anything else.
A guy like Boeckman probably wouldn't have lost many more games than Pryor. Maybe the Oregon game or Arky game?

So you're saying Pryor was overrated...yet he was the reason Ohio State won 2 BCS games? Nice...

No, I'm saying that he really didn't do anything for Ohio State to definitely say, yeah no mistake in pursuing him at all.
Ohio State has always had about the same amount of success they've had with TP with mediocre QBs like Krenzel or Boeckman.
The only thing I think TP afforded them was that OSU wouldn't have won both BCS games, they probably would've only won one of them.

yea he only broke almost every qb record in school history

The reason Pryor won the job over Boeckman to begin with was because our offensive line was awful and we needed somebody who could scramble. Boeckman was a senior when TP was a Freshman anyway, so not like they would have been competing for the spot and we had a realistic second option.
And TP himself won us quite a few games. I remember @ Wisconsin his freshman year he lead the game winning drive and capped it off with an option that was awesome. Of course he probably cost us Penn St at home in 09 I think it was.

And I thnk you're wrong...because Pryor was pretty lights out in both of those bowl games. If you think some ho-hum, nothing special kid would've won either of those games I think you're losing it FWIW.
