There is zero way that there are 56k people at the Rams game. Stands look 80% empty!

Attendance is based on tickets sold, not people who enter the gates. NFL has a lot of corporate deals in place, so I'm guessing a huge number of those seats are "sold" before a game is ever played.

I'm calling bs on that official Rams attendance.

The official attendance in the box score of the game - 56,612.

Maybe you need to inform the league office that they are wrong.

NFL blows chode. Most of the top CFB programs pull in higher attendance against FCS schools than a sold out NFL stadium

Back in the day, I know a lot of schools that got to D1-A because they counted their enrollment toward their "paid attendance" because they "bought" season tickets through their student fees.

I know that banging on the Rams attendance is the cool thing to do here, but those two pics look to be at totally separate times.

One is no shite in the middle of the game, while the other looks like it's during pregame warm-ups.

Also, I'm assuming that 56k would put the Rams in the middle of the pack for attendance.

That's 175,000 people in Los Angeles that turned out to watch football.

That's still a lot of people.

Baton Rouge and New Orleans can get that many total people to do so on any given random weekend in the fall. If you put their populations together, it would equal any number of nameless suburbs of L.A.

Regardless, I still really can't believe an NFL team is actually playing in the equivalent of Tulane's Yullman Stadium.

Huh? These two NFL games were at the same time on the same day, right?

And they still can't attract a combined crowd of many smaller cities' single stadium games.

But muh L.A. market!

Which cities?

Looks like the Rams are close to a lot of teams in attendance numbers. With a still growing fan base.

The Chargers shouldn't be in LA, I think most people would agree. Also I heard on the radio the other day they have the most expensive tickets

Rams had great attendance stats last year. As for how many people that bought tickets actually showed up to the game, who the hell knows.

Combined attendance of over 81,000. Look at where that ranks among NFL teams.
