Should the NBA allow more roster spots?

Adding at least 4 active spots on game day. 17 dressed and active on gameday.
Would you be all for it and if not, why? Just something that's been on my mind and wondering why it wouldn't be a good thing.
Pros:
-I think it will be a huge improvement in stamina and injuries.
-it will show who the best coaches are and make promising young coaches better. With all the possible substitutions, coaches would have to adjust constantly.
-allow specialist a chance to make a team. 3pt specialist that doesn't have NBA level all around talent to thrive.(a great 3 point specialist that can get his shot off consistently at a 55% clip and be serviceable on defense would be a major weapon.
-could have an enforcer, a lockdown defense only guy, 3pt specialist. Lots of specialist positions could be used depending on the team.
-give diamonds in the rough their chance.
-make teams play and coach hard every game.
Cons:
-it would water down the overall talent in the league.
-would have to find 120 more players with NBA talent. Might be hard to do and some really bad players could slip in somewhere.
I think it would make the league much better, have much more intensity, more competetive and make the coaches much more involved and important.
I'm sure I could be missing lots of reasons why this would be a bad idea but right now I can't find many cons.

Literally nothing would change on game day. A coach isn't going 17 deep on his bench and putting those guys in the game.
Coaches don't even play their whole 13 man active roster as it is now.

You would have a better chance of finding useful playable talent to keep teams fresher. You could play much more situational ball with specialist and more players.

It's really an argument to have extra roster spots for specialists and for a higher chance to add really good talent that slipped through the cracks but never got the opportunity.

I like your attempt but the idea is horrendous

God no. Have you never noticed how awful those dudes that never get off the bench are.

I mean they aren’t bad at basketball. It is just the NBA in general is super elite compared to college basketball and other professional leagues. Then there is a huge gap between the superstars and the average NBA player. Then the refs give some super stars an additional officiating advantage (looking at you Kobe and Harden).

So, in comparison, they're awful. Obviously any professional athlete is really good at their sport so let's not even start that frivilous arguement. I don't knock you for the idea, but it wouldn't change anything. Teams already only play about 7-8 dudes anyway. You maybe have a team or two that has a defensive specialist or something, but in general theres no point really. And owners aren't going to want to pay 4 more salaries, even at league minimum that's around 2 mil.

I mean shite you usually have 3 DNP- Coaches decision in every game, a coach isn't using the players he has now. Why would he use 4 extras?

I'm fine with 15. That's a clear 1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team. Not that a NBA coach thinks like that , though.

Haha what??
There isn't a level of basketball from Kindergarten to the NBA that has 17 roster spots.
That wouls be way too many disgruntled athletes that complain about playing time
