Why do you get two home games? Not like Ole Miss has done shite in the last 30 years.
Ole Miss has way more fans and makes way more money.

As I've said before, if you want something, you have to pay for it. If you want to play Ole Miss, great, but being that you have only so much of a fan base and ability to generate money, you'll have to give Ole Miss one or more of the following:
a) an inordinate amount of home games
b) a larger cut of tickets to any games played in Hattiesburg
c) money

Until USM builds and can fill a 60,000-seat stadium, you won't be treated as equal to a program who can.

Definitely an idea. But the biggest question is....

....would the stadium in Jackson be able to hold a live bear?

USM home attendance, 2010: 176,400
Ole Miss home attendance, 2010: 391,289

If that was a pie graph, USM has about 31%, and Ole Miss 69%. Based on that, a home/home/away seems completely fair.

But, if USM wants a home/away, fine. I say then, divvy up the tickets according to that attendance. Vaught-Hemingway's capacity is 60,500, and the Rock holds 36,000.

176400/391289 = 66569/30011

That is, going with the attendance ratio above, and given that the two stadiums combine to hold 96,500, Ole Miss should get 66,569 tickets, and USM should get 30,011.

Assuming that a normal road crowd in Oxford gets 10,000, let's go ahead and keep that figure. So here's how the tickets would be divvied up here:

Location - OM tickets - USM tickets
Oxford - 50,500 - 10,000
Hattiesburg - 16,069 - 20,011

What say the Golden Eagle and Black Bear fans to this deal?

FWIW LSU and Smiss have rescheduled the game no less than 6 times.

And just for trivia sake the eagles beat LSU the last time they played back in '94 20-18.
