The healthy late season LSU defense was fairly nasty in 2019, weren’t they?

Wrong. Also, 2019 LSU will still have more players drafted than 2019 UGA so you were wrong about that as well. Just to reiterate how stacked we were our third string TE TK McLendon who never even saw the field is on the two deep for the Titans at DE.

As others have pointed out it’s not Alabama’s fault that 2020 was the stupidest year of all time, but due to all of the bs that was happening there is absolutely no rational way that any team from that year could be considered the GOAT in any sport.

It would have been an arse whooping of epic proportions. I’m not sure ‘23 Michigan was all that much better than the ‘22 team team that got rolled by TCU in the semis. They got lucky catching a “bad” Bama team, and a Washington team that matched up poorly and had their best player play his worst game of the season.

I think the ‘20 Bama team donkey stomps that Michigan team from last year too. It’s unfortunate for them, but you just can’t really take a whole lot from the 2020 seasons—in all sports. It was just such a clusterfrick in so many ways. It’s been proven that 2020 was the easiest year to play QB in college and the NFL, maybe ever. Lots of factors, but the lack of crowd noise is high up there. So it’s not fair to that team, but comparing them to any other teams is not apples to apples. Not fair, but shite happens. And a whole lot of wild shite happened that year. I
But that’s why we love college football so much.

Interesting that covid titles were won by alabama, the dodgers, the lakers, and Tom Brady.

Cool. What does that have to do with all of the QBs each played against? Better yet, compare the WHOLE rosters, you know the other 84 guys on scholarship.

?? Who said anything about 2019 Georgia? 2022 Georgia has already had more players drafted in 2023 and 2024 than LSU had from their 2019 team and they still have guys to go in the 25 and 26 draft.

as great as 2001 Miami was they would not win a shootout with 2019 LSU.

This game would not be a shootout bc jump ball Joe would not be able to get away with it against Miamis defense. Miami was a better all around team.

2022 UGA beat 3 top 10 Teams
2019 LSU Beat 5

LSU beat a Clemson Team on a 29 Game Win Streak

UGA Beat a TCU Team on a 1 game win streak.

2022 UGA didn’t play a conference champion in the CFP or an undefeated team.

Most in the South were either business as usual and the rest had some restrictions (50 or 75%) full but that was not in Bama’s control.

False. You can actually look up the attendance numbers from their games. They didn't play a game with more than 23k people.

You beat Bama by 5.

We all know now you have no clue what you're talking about. Because anyone with half brain knows that number doesn't tell whole story. Bama did not once have the ball with chance to take the lead in 2nd half of that game.

That Miami had 4 rbs on the roster who wound up being starters in the NFL and the 5th was Walter Payton’s kid who had a cup of coffee in the NFL. 22 guys from that defense wound up being drafted, 6 corners and both safeties who were both the best each position of their generation (Ed Reed and Sean Taylor).

They also had a HoFer at WR and had elite talents at TE and on the OL.

There’s no argument for 2019 LSU over 2001 Miami. They were elite on both sides of the ball. They only had one game finish within one score (2 4th quarter scores by VA Tech) and one other game finish within 2 scores (11 point win at top 25 BC). They didn’t have a single other game finish within 22 points.

I’m back to back weeks they beat 2 top 25 teams in Syracuse and Washington by scores of 59-0 and 65-7. There is nothing on 2019 LSU’s resume that compares to that. Nothing.

This team gets way to much credit for what guys did in the NFL.

Were they not a dominant undefeated national champion?
