The reach advantage also goes away really quick if Sharpe simply tackles/grapples Adams.

Adams has about 40 lbs and 9" on Sharpe. Adams is considered one of the strongest current NBA players. If you think someone as athletic and big as Adams, in the prime of his athletic career, would have any issues handling a 55 year old who doesn't have training, you're very mistaken.
