You don’t think the Celtics would trade Tatum for Luka?

ETA: I also don’t think Giannis is an auto no

This is probably the biggest trade since the last time AD got shipped away.

Absolutely not.

Taum is elite defensively and works within a system.

Luka is one of the worst defenders in the NBA and demands to be the system.

The fact AD went to DAL may be proof it was, as it was reported the GM was also fixated on Giannis.

If I’m LAL, I’m calling GSW and finding a way to get LeBron traded.

Amazing that the NBA is terrible to watch but the player movement is fascinating to watch

Neither can stay healthy. Davis is always injured. But they only have ONE ball. So I don’t think there is a winner in this trade.

Don't sleep on Kuminga, baw. LBJ has no long-term value and Kuminga will likely take a step with more of a role on a worse team.

I know you love to quote Bill Simmons’ baseball rankings and opinions, and he has Luka only behind Wemby, Jokic, and SGA on his trade value chart.

ESPN executive insider guy Bobby Marks said it should have been the biggest haul in NBA history, but that as you pointed out, the Mavs guy zeroed in on AD for whatever reason.

They mentioned Luka was up for $350 mill supermax. Boosie made a good point in one of these threads that if you're looking at your chubby, injured superstar, you might think twice about making that commitment.

Wonder if his designer has this shirt ready for him to wear again

As if stands right now, I don’t think there’s ever been a dumber in-the-moment trade in NBA history. There are at least 10 teams (possibly up to 20?) that would have beat the Lakers’ “offer” instantly if they had known the Mavs were looking to trade Luka.

In the player rankings Tatum is literally 4 and Doncic 3.

In the trade value, it's 4 and 5.

And, as I said, Tatum fits the team. Luka in no way fits their team in any way, on defense or offense.

How tf was there no bidding war? The Mavs could’ve got the biggest haul in NBA history yet this is the way they went about it? Sketch as frick

Absolutely. They have no rim protection now. Their defense will be nonexistent most nights.

Non existent D didn’t stop the mavs from going to the finals
