Joker should have 5 straight MVPs right now.

Well deserved if people would actually read the post and process it. Only other player that has numbers like this is MJ.
Yeah. Jokic is awesome as well cant take anything from him.

But the posters here know way more than voters lol.
Boxed in a corner with their Jokic love affair - if they claim voters are dumb that means Jokics MVPS are devalued - if voters are smart then SGA is legit winner.
Really hard for them to squirm out of this one lol. But they have their downvotes that’ll show em lol.

The only other player in NBA history to average at least 30 points on 50% shooting, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1 block per game in a season is Michael Jordan
That’s a cute little statistic, how about this one
quote:
Nikola Jokic may not be this year's MVP, but he rewrote the record books this season.
The Nuggets star became not just the 3rd player ever to average a triple-double, but the first non-point guard to average a triple-double, which is amazing in itself.
But that wasn't the Joker's greatest achievement in 2025. He also became just the 1st player in history to rank in the top 3 in points, rebounds, assists, and steals in the same season (min. 50 games played):
29.6 PPG (3rd)
12.7 RPG (3rd)
10.2 APG (2nd)
1.8 SPG (2nd)
Even more amazing? Not only is Joker the 1st to finish top 3 in all 4 categories, but only one player finished in the Top TEN in points, rebounds, and assists. And that was 63 years ago.
1961-62 Oscar Robertson came the closest to Jokic. Not even Russell Westbrook in 4 seasons averaging triple-doubles ever hit the top 10 in all.

33/6/5 on a 68 win team is an elite season. That is undisputable. Comparing his season to other players in other random seasons is irrelevant. To win MVP, you are compared to everyone else for that current season, not every season ever..

Lost in this he never chased a super team. When traded here the team was declining due to a reset. He trusted Presti and worked hard to hone his game. Never complained about trade rather he embraced it.
He got very emotional talking about his wife. Good dude.

He was like 20 and coming off a rookie year where he averaged 10 a game. Who the hell was he to complain?

I think Jokic fits the literal “most valuable” definition best, but the award hasn’t strictly been about that for a while. Shai had a great season. Love to see it

Don’t be naive. Clippers knew he would be star but had to have PG for their title run. SGA was part of a franchise on cusp of winning it all and got traded to 3rd smallest market and a team in decline due to reset.
Every GM in country would have traded for him if given chance back then. Presti also knew this guys talent and held firm after LAC tried to do trade without him.

I'm not saying he sucked. I'm saying at that point he was in no position to think he'd have leverage to ask to not be traded anywhere in the NBA. He was the 11th pick of the previous draft that had a good rookie year, this wasn't Wemby.

Pretty deserving I’d say

those are only 3 stats and don't account for efficiency or defense at all
Shai this year had a 30.7 PER to Lukas 28.1 last year.
Win Shares Luka had 12.0 and Shai had 16.7.
Yet Jokic beats Shai by the same margins in efficiency numbers this year AND has the stats argument but loses?
You want to have it both ways.

Awesome Corinthians is shitting up the MSB now too

Shai has more win shares than jokic

yea, and win shares are directly affected by TEAM performance.
W/S = how many wins a player contributes to THEIR TEAM wins and the stat is capped by that teams wins.
Player A: 25/8/8 on a 25-win team = ~5-6 WS
Player B: 17/5/4 on a 60-win team = ~8-9 WS
WS are also affected number of games played. So a player who plays 6 more games will have a higher WS
You aren't making a useful point. You are reinforcing arguments against yourself.
In fact, everything else held equal, if you just SWAPPED Jokic and SGA this year onto each other's team and equalized their playing times to both 82 games - Jokic's W/S would be over 9% higher than SGA's (17.4 to 15.9)
Yet again, Jokic penalized for playing in Denver.

Lebron shouldve won 10 straight. Who cares?
You guys missing that wins matter for the award need to study history. You only make yourselves look stupid acting like the best individual statistical player wins it every year.

So is the MVP. Show me an mvp winner thats team missed the playoffs.
