Exactly, they cannot apply for certain jobs without a college degree, so not having one significantly limits their careers.

But you just said it, thats just LSU and LSU's football program is a select minority, you cannot say because of what goes on with LSU's football program is also the same at a majority of other college football programs because its certainly not.
In the real world being a scholarship football player that played at LSU, getting a degree in anything means you can compete within the "workforce" in a lot more fields than you are saying.
