Let me reiterate, HYPOTHETICALLY.

What would happen to underclassmen who declared for the draft and are no longer eligible? Would they be screwed? Would the NCAA allow a special permission? What?

I thought they were still going to draft regardless... but who knows... would they permit agent contact only with those who had declared? Would they have to give stuff back that agents had given them?

They are, as of right now. Which is why I said hypothetically.

Highly unlikely, but if something like that were to happen, the NCAA would take them back in a heartbeat. $$$

They would likely be suspended 4 games for speaking with agents.

Still drafted is what our scout writer Shea told everyone.

IDK if they get paid or not though. I would imagine so. Who knows at this point.

I thought those that have procured an agent lose their amateur athlete status. Am i wrong?

If so most are done in college already.

I was told regardless of what happens once you get an agent you can't come back... I do not really know though.

they will have a draft and each team will have rights to the player they drafted. They will not be able to contact the player until the players and owners agree to a new deal.

If they can't have contact with the players upon drafting them, will the presentation of the draft be different this year than in previous ones?

NCAA couldn't conceivably allow them back. Not only would they have to re-write the bylaws but they'd also have to do some tinkering with scholarship numbers so as to allow these kids back, and if the NCAA would only re-write the bylaws but not fix the scholarship issue, I doubt Cam or AJ or Fairley or PP are going to walk-on to their old team for a year and take classes just to keep in shape for when the NFL would eventually re-open

99% of these guys and especially the ones predicted to definitely be drafted have already received large sums of money. I knew Carnell and brown back then and they each got well over 100k the day after the bowl game. The agents front them money in the forms of loans based on future earning potential. Bama fans should know all about this.

This would be my second reason that the players wouldn't/couldn't come back, but I just wanted to point out from an NCAA point of view that even if they wanted these high profile guys back it'd be a nightmare to try and make it happen

How much did they get prior to the bowl game?

Haha nice try. But they were actually broke fools before, then after they finally started tipping my bartenders.

That's not to say I didn't suspect some guys of having money they shouldn't have. My thoughts were more it was agent related though for those guys because of a few reasons.

FIFY. Bartenders gotta eat, you should always tip something. It doesn't matter if the weekend before you torched a damn good UGA team en route to a conference title and an undefeated season! Cheap skates got a meal plan, buy those guys lunch or some shite

No way, no how.

Would screw up scholly limits as well as contact with agents. Not to mention some of these in the draft already have multi-million dollar sponsorship deals.

Would be a nightmare for the NCAA
