Now talking up what Les did 20 yrs ago at Okie state and Jeff Long's infatuation/love affair with Miles.
Outside of Bobby P., Jeff Long never made a good hire at Arkansas. And we saw how that single good hire turned out.

There is no way Les is this bad of a coach. I refuse to believe that. Except for a couple magical years under Mangino, it is impossible to win football games at Kansas.

I never said they would be elite sec players or even say they would start all the time, But are you telling me those guys couldn't play in the league on some teams? Please. There's a half dozen schools that could use their bodies alone for depth. Those guys are phycially able to play.

Who else is KU supposed to hire? No up and comer is going to risk tanking their career and no name coach other than Les would have ever been willing to go there. Their choices were basically to hope Les can eventually get them into bowl contention or hire a high school coach from Kansas.

I thought that Les was a great hire for KU. I really thought he would at least make them respectable. He still has a shot I guess, but this is a bad start.

Maybe they can, maybe they can't. I can't really make much of a determination of their abilities based off of what they are doing vs terrible KU team that doesn't even have Pooka to run the ball.

What I don't understand about Kansas is exactly why it's such a black hole for football?
It's not like they play in against ultra competition in that league and a team in the same league and the same state have shown you can at least be average in the Big 12.
Ots not like Kansas has the schedule every year of an Arkansas or Vanderbilt. So, are all of the resources going to football or is it just a curse?
