This has been the same team for 5 years and many of the key pieces are getting older. The management uses draft capital every to move up and get the final piece. Everyone knows the saints strategy by now and is well prepared to stop it. Gonna take a damn near elite defense to propel Brees to another SB. I think it's reasonable for the Saints to make a change at QB or Coach but it's understandable why they won't.

That’s what hurts the most about this

Can’t imagine getting up off the mat AGAIN

At least we looked like shite in this game and lost straight up. Not optimistic about how we would have played the rest of the way.

Face it.

The saints win today if Brees just doesn't shite the bed TWICE at the end

The fact they couldn’t make the super bowl in any of the past three years with the talent they’ve had is mind boggling. They definitely aren’t making it back with Brees under center

Crazy thing is that Brees could have continued to shite the bed and still won if Lutz hits that kick

But yea it's probably over

I’m ready to change to the Baltimore offense and make taysom the starter. Without more offensive weapons Brees will continue to suck in the playoffs.

Not necessarily. Vikings wouldn't have been conservative at the end of the game if it was tied.

So is consensus among Saints fans that Brees is a bigger issue than Payton? Both were sub-optimal today. Not calling that TO with 2:40 left and playing for OT was very pussyish.

I don't think Taysom is the answer but is anyone in this draft class? Maybe sign Mariota and try him/Taysom out. Trade Brees for future capital or use it on the litany of weapons available this year. Horrible QB class but great RB/WR class.

One huge issue is the lack of a downfield threat. Football is moving in that direction and I wont be surprised if last year's Pats are the last time to win without the big play threat.

Brees made some bad decisions, but the onus was on the Oline to block and they couldn't get the job done. Even Ramczyk was getting abused. That says alot about how piss poor that unit was today.

First change needs to be the defensive coordinator. He was the 1 holdover when the trash was taken out, and he was the coach of the worst position on the team

Brees was just the player of the month for December, the problem wasn’t Brees, it was the MINN D-Line and Payton

Why does everyone around here shite on Brees? Payton has been the bigger problem with his inability to manage the last five minutes of the half. This has been going on for years.

Saints D will keep them relevant. It’s a question of Brees and if he comes back. Saints need another WR badly.

The Vikings D-line was just significantly better than Saints O-line today.

It’s the curse of the Brett Favre. Saints bounty to end Favres career in the playoffs had turned around and cursed them to lose to the Vikings in the worst way possible in every playoff game from then till the end of time.

The Taysom-Hill-as-starting-QB championship window is swinging open!

The saints have an average age of 26 they are a young team. You make a change at QB because he a had bad game where O line got worked? He lit it up the last month of the season.

This was a strange strange game. The Saints looked much closer to that bizarre team that got whooped against the shite falcons than the team that has dominated all year. Biggest thing I took away was the OL/DL just did not play well which was also the case that game against atl. Add in all of the mistakes and that is how you lose one of these games that you absolutely should have won.
