Here come the Gator.

I’ve watched them a good bit and have the same thought process each time. Umm idk what makes UF so good. Don’t see it.

Then wait 10 minutes and I’m 100% certain this is a second weekend team

Bummer for South Florida. Had perhaps their best season ever winning the AAC regular season title and getting ranked for the first time in program history. Very doubtful they make the NCAA Tournament

Mountain West game should be a good finish. Jamal Mashburn, Jr. makes me feel really old.

I'm not picking Houston as my champ because they will have a game where the offense vanishes and if the other team is playing decently they are done.

Yup. It’s happened to them the last two years. In 2022, even an average offensive game against Villanova would have gotten them in the final four but they could not throw it in the ocean. They are not built for a one and done tournament. If it were an NBA style playoff, I’d pick them every time.

I remember that game being absolutely absurd. I just looked up their shooting. They were 17-57. Like you said, if they just shot like 20-57, they would have won.

This game was damn near as bad…15-56. Scored 18 points in the second half and about half of that came in garbage time.

Also, this happens to them on a micro level as well. They’ll go tons of time in a game without scoring at all. Now to their credit, they also go on runs of their own where they can’t miss. They can get away with that in the first round, maybe the second, but after that it becomes dicey.
