I’ll wait until he doesn’t have Justin Fields to assess that.

Day could be without Fields very soon if he keeps on running him 15 times a game.

ND was 12-0 and lost to Clemson by less than Bama did.

Oh that’s it?

Glad you recognize Alabama’s last 17 championships as legit

What Mullen is doing with a guy that was rated 79 on 247 composite is pretty impressive

Trask has like 39 TDs to 7 int within basically 1 season

Missing 2 games 3/4 of another last yr

Lincoln Riley is pretty damn good just judging his time at ECU and OU. It's hard to judge Day since he's at OSU and has more talent than every one in the conference.

Honest question since I don't follow him as much as the others, but has he been a great play caller when he doesn't have superior players? I know he did well at USC and is killing it at Alabama right now but he was average to below average with the Falcons and his time at Washington wasn't that memorable.

I’m not sure it was all his fault with the Falcons, considering the trajectory they have been on.

He took over at Washington in 2009. The team was 0–12 the year before. His offenses were pretty solid through his time there. He certainly left the program better than he found it. Peterson would not have an offense as explosive as Sark’s 2013 offense until he was there three seasons.

He had the weapons to be better than he was but I haven't followed them like I use to so I'll defer to you.

what a dumb post.

Just in the first half alone, Dobbins and KJ Hill both had a drop in the end zone. Dobbins also dropped a screen pass in the red zone that he would have likely scored on. Those drops themselves were 8 points left off the board. Day can't catch the ball for them.

The game ending INT would have probably been a TD if Olave didn't make a bad read and cut off his route.

Not to mention Dobbins played most of the game on a bum ankle.

Day called a fantastic game in December.

In his three seasons at Ohio State we've won three conference championships, a Cotton Bowl, and a Rose Bowl. He's also put up 149 points in the best rival in college football. Without SEC incompetence, we're playing LSU for a national championship last year. He just brought in one of the best recruiting classes ever.

Yeah, I'm good with what Day has done at Ohio State.

Days playcalling is what put OSU in a position to go up big. He called the right plays and had Clemson on their heels. Just poor player execution on a few plays prevented the OSU from having a bigger lead in the 1st half, that likely would have been insurmountable.

I don’t know if he’s the best play caller, but he’s one of them. I’ll say this, he’s much better than Tony Elliott. OSUs offense is a steamrolling machine. They have WRs running wide open down field and Fields is very accurate hitting them in stride. And a very balanced team. Clemson offense, on the other hand, for having a generational QB that NFL scouts have been clamoring over for 3 years, and the best RB in ACC history, along with a WR Corp littered with 4 and 5 star players, lacks ingenuity, creativity, and rhythm. There is no excuse for this offense to be struggling the way it has against lesser quality opponents. And That’s on Tony Elliott and Dabo.

If people want to hold judgement on OSU until Fields is gone, just wait to you see Clemson’s without Trevor Lawrence or ETN.

That "biggest rivalry" hasn't been significant in years.

Now, am I saying tosu isn't a good team, absolutely not. It's them and then the rest of the little 10.

the committee has advanced knowledge of this? 30 pts vs 27 pts is indeed a whopping differential that proves ND was more deserving

I said best, and it always will be.

The Game has had playoff implications every year.

Don't be a pussy.

And are you going to defend SEC officiating? I bet Arkansas and Ole Miss would have something to say about that.

The review on the Garrett Wilson catch also stopped Ohio State's momentum on that drive. Day had a play called and they were going tempo on Clemson. The review allowed Clemson time to reorganize. As stated there were also three wide open drops in the red zone early in the game.

RE: The SEC comment. That comment was about the SEC replay official offsite who decided to change the strip and scoop and score much later in the game.
