You've surveyed every play-caller in FBS and have an analysis?

Thanks for your insightful post with well thought out analysis. I believe you are the only one to hold the opinion that Ryan Day is the best playcaller in the FBS. Change our minds.

I’ll wait until he doesn’t have Justin Fields to assess that.

This

It helps a lot when you have a QB that never misses passes or makes bad throwing decisions, ever.

Called 70 pass plays against F'n Purdue and lost... while 2 NFL-level RBs stood around and watched.

And I don't want to hear about OSUs D. OSU should have hung 70 on that pathetic Purdue ragtag team.

So, yeah. I disagree. And Day will find a way to piss away a game or 2 this season too.

Is Ryan Day another name for Steve Ensmiger?

He called plays at Ohio State for two years without Fields.

One of those RBs averaged 2.2 YPC and the offense put up 546 yards.

80+ yard drives ending in failed 4th downs and missed field goals was our problem, not the play calling.

He’s top-tier

Joe Brady would’ve become the best... I hate the nfl.

That would be JK Dobbins - averaging 6.2 yards per carry in the NFL.

546 yards and 2 TDs = shitty red zone calls.

And 8-5 Auburn scored 63 points against Purdue that season

Yep, and 2.2 against Purdue. Our offensive line full of NFL talent got pushed around. That isn't play calling. We had a shite ton of poorly timed offensive penalties. Not play calling. WRs out of position. Not play calling. Drops. Not play calling.

It seems like you didn't watch the game.

Cool.

We hung 62 on #4 a month after Purdue.

tOSU could have been up big on Clemson...thanks to Day exceptional “play calling” that never happened and his team got overtaken and lost on the national stage....then he whined afterwards.

I think Purdue played over their heads for that poor kid, God rest his soul. But Day made Haskins of all people into a Heisman candidate, that has to count for something

Bingo. We have a winner.

Day blew a playoff spot in a pathetic attempt to land a Heisman - did it for himself as much as for Haskins.
