are you stupid? Rudolph started ripping at Garrett's helmet 1st and still has a hold of Garrett's facemask when he's kicking Garrett

I have a problem with victim when you're a person clearly out of your weight class and you charge someone in an aggressive manner.

There aren't established rules and guidelines in fighting.

none of this would have happened had QB simply gotten up like a man after taking a legal hit (no flags by ref to indicate otherwise) and rallied his team like the leader he is paid to be, QB was pissed, acted irrationally and retaliated starting this whole mess...

There are.

Once you escalate a situation in an unreasonable manner by using a weapon to strike someone, things have changed.

Whether Rudolph "started it" or "pushed him" or "tried to take off his helmet"...who cares?

Ripping off a helmet, seconds going by, and then striking another person in the head with it is not a reasonable response.

There is no excuse for it. There is no softening it.

So, if we get into an argument, and I start pushing you...

It is ok to get out a baseball and start hitting me with it, right?

That's completely justified?

you sir are delusional, the “seconds going by” you referred to were filled with multiple players attacking MG and the instigator on his feet attempting to attack MG causing his defensive response...

None of this would have happened had Garrett not ripped off another players helmet and then hit them with it.

We’ve seen players go after each other before. We’ve never seen what Garrett did on a football field. We’ve seen it in a hockey rink and the player wound up getting charged with assault.

So is
-ripping at someones helmet
-kicking the person in the nuts with cleats
-then after its seperated going after them again

Reasonable?

How QBs are pampered you know there wasn't anything vicious about the hit. Defenders routinely take down ball carriers or QBs only to realize the ball is down field.

I had no problem with Mykes punching Rudolph, but drop the helmet 1st.

Nothing. Justifies. Using. A. Helmet. As. A. Weapon.

since when are there “rules of order” in a fight like that? don’t start a fight if you are unprepared for whatever comes your way...

First of all, this is a complete mischaracterization of what happened.

Also, no. None of it is "reasonable". But slap fights happen all of the time.

This is about GARRETT'S ACTIONS.

Since the entire history of the rule of law?

You do realize that there are crimes specifically dealing with escalation in situations like this?

There are vastly different crimes and sentences between someone pushing someone, and then that person retaliating with a weapon.

The law doesn't say "Oh they pushed you, feel free to murder them"

Your response, if you are claiming self defense, has to be reasonable.

Good lord.

So?

No one cares about pulling off the helmet.

Its what he did with it after he pulled it off. Are you really this dumb?
