The Athletic's Mark Kaboly reports there's a "real possibility" Le'Veon Bell won’t report by the franchise tag deadline.

Bell tweeted Monday he was leaving his training spot in Miami. There were rumblings he planned to sign his franchise tag this week, but there's now a chance he sits out all season. Bell counts as a third-year franchise player in 2019 even if he doesn't sign, so his $25 million tag number will prevent the Steelers from franchising him in the offseason. Bell will forfeit his remaining $6.84 million salary if he doesn't report before next week

There will be a major fight regarding if he will be a 2nd or 3rd year franchise player. There isnt set wording in the cba regarding this.

Pittsburgh beat writer reported that neither the Steelers or the league plan on challenging that he will be a 3rd year franchise player

Steelers will have no interest in dealing with this saga any further

Just saying man.

Real possibility just means it may happen.
Strong possibility would mean it is likely to happen.

So basically the report is what we have been hearing. (He might not show up but most still think he will.)

Wasn't trying to be a dick but I read the headline and thought something new was breaking.

He's an idiot, but Pittsburgh is fine with Conner.

He will have a hard time getting that big contract after sitting out football entire year.
For a RB, the Pittsburgh contract was more than fair and Conner has been an adequate replacement.

Saints will have similar issues when it's time for Thomas and Kamara to cash in. No way they can afford these two with Brees still on the books. But Thomas and Kamara will find out how important Brees was to them, look at Jimmy Graham.

Pretty sure Thomas and Kamaara will land on their feet
