Was thinking the same thing.
As someone who is regularly put either in the top tier or mentioned as someone just below them, he was horrific on that drive.
Dude had over a minute and 3 TOs. That’s an eternity for a decent QB, and he was throwing up prayers nonstop and missing crossers left and right.
Truly a horrible ending drive.

His tight end was open like 4 times on easy crossers and he lobbed it to nobody

that's been a pretty regular theme with him this season...
he's REALLY fallen off this year... looks like those guys from that QB class need to just go ahead and hang 'em up.... Big Ben is showing signs of age with injuries, Rivers stinking up the joint on the reg, and Eli lost his starting gig to a rookie from fricking Duke....

He threw 5 picks. 2 didnt count because of penalties. he's not a top tier guy. He probably barely makes the top 10 list.

Yeah I kept wondering with a minute to go and 3 time outs he just needs to hit some quick crosses or utilize the RB.

Who hadnt accomplished much in SD. Rivers first year he won more games than Brees did in a season. Took Brees 9 years to win 13.
Rivers has never had a coach half as good as Payton.
