Here we go with the recency bias and an inability to recognize rule changes that are going to make almost every good QB going forward seem better than those in the past based on a watered down ability to defend the pass.

yeah right cause the db's the qb's were throwing against back then had far more ability right?

not to mention the sophisticated strategies back then either . a route tree for wr's about the size of a popcorn kernel.

Bart Starr was a great QB but don't try and compare eras, that's just fricking moronic.

Shhh. We don’t want to talk about black players and the nfl. Lol

It was far tougher passing against a completely white team like the Skins, until 62, than passing against Skins w Darrell Green.

First book I ever read was about Bart Starr. My first favorite pro football player. It's the Packers that fueled my disdain for the Cowboys. Still hate em. I thought the announcer for CBS back then that used to do most if not all of the Packers game was one of the best ever. Can't remember his name but had a classic voice.

Which is what you proceed to do.

Their ability was relative to the ability of those in the league at that point in time. Bart Starr dominated in his era of the sport against the competition he played week in and week out.

Just about every modern day WR route was invented in the 30s and 40s.

I suggest you look at HOF inductees.

Maybe you have heard of Unitas.

Again. Dumb.

The team dominated.

If we compare what Unitas did starr pales.

And I love starr. What makes him so special is who he was a human being.

Thanks for sharing the video.

It would be so easy to give up when life deals you a setback, but Bart persevered for his loved ones.

Thanks again.

Let me spell it out for you dumbshit. Bart Starr beat who he played against. You have no proof whatsoever that he wouldn't have beaten whoever he might have played against in another era.

fricking idiot anywhere you post
