Exactly. Look at the texts from Incognito when Martin bailed on the team and before he knew that Martin had threw him under the bus. He was genuinely concerned about Martin and was constantly checking on him and asking him how he was doing

My theory is that Martin hates this whole NFL lifestyle but put up an act to fit in. He was constantly having to come up with excuses on why he had to bail. Maybe he has a bit of social anxiety.
This whole "bullying" thing is just the story the media went with and Martin thought it would be the easiest thing to go along with it.
