Playing against the New York Giants at Connie Mack Stadium, the first foul ball broke the women's nose. After a brief delay for medical staff to attend to the lady, Ashburn lined the next pitch foul hitting the women as she was being carried off on a stretcher. That ball broke a bone in her leg.

What did she do to Richie Ashburn?

I wish they had a video of this.

If one of the fans can't be hospitalized as a consequence of what is happening on the field, THAT, my friend, is a sport that I do not care to watch.

Ashburn visited her in the hospital and gave real game memorabilia to her grandchildren.

The grandkids asked her if she could go to an Eagles game and get hit with a football.

I went and saw the Texas Rangers play the California Angels in 1992 in Arling,TX and I saw the same fan catch back to back foul balls on two pitches.

If this had been a chick, we’d be discussing how she got hit with 2 foul balls in a row.
