Review: Exceptional 'Last Dance' celebrates Jordan, Bulls

In ESPN's The Last Dance, premiering Sunday, no punches are pulled when discussing the Bad Boys. "I hated 'em," Michael Jordan says of the back-to-back championship-winning Pistons. "And the hate carries even to this day."

If you love seeing Michael Jordan as a win crazy maniacal machine with a human edge, ESPN Film's THE LAST DANCE is the fuel to your fire.

"Tremendously entertaining, if not as deep as #OJMadeinAmerica." Read @TheFienPrint 's review of ESPN's10-part documentary #TheLastDance:

The Daily Beast

"Michael Jordan is the best basketball player that’s ever lived, period. For those foolish enough to debate that incontrovertible fact, ESPN’s The Last Dance puts any lingering doubts to rest," says Nick Schager.

On a critical level there were places I wish "The Last Dance" had gone deeper, sometimes much deeper. On a general, glued-to-my-couch entertainment level, it was mostly a joy to watch.

quote:

Chicago Tribune

"When people see this, they are going say: 'Well, he wasn’t really a nice guy. He may have been a tyrant,' " Michael Jordan says in an extended, emotional sound bite. "Well, that's you — because you never won anything."

"It's a Citizen Kane-like biography of Jordan's relentless pursuit of greatness at all costs."

I predict 15 million viewers upon tbe first airing. I think it will be akin to a nfl game in ratings.

No disrespect but that’s a lot of copy and pasting that’s gonna get skipped by most.

I’m still very excited to watch though!

ETA you should change like the 4th or 6th tweet to some Anchorman type random sentence and see how many people catch on.

There are a lot of things I don't like about ESPN but they do a lot of things right. For one, I'd take ESPN over any other network for coverage of basically any live sports event.

So is the espn version unedited altogether or should I just watch it at a later time on espn+?

Also do they cover his pursuit of greatness in gambling?

Yeah I am a huge Jordon cock sucking fan I and always knew he was a dick. I mean that in the sense that he demanded so much even at a shitty practice. It’s what makes him great. Probably a mental situation but frick it I love it. I can’t wait to see people saying how much of an a-hole he was/is. GOAT.

In your simple mind it's incomprehensible that people can actually like both players. It has to be one or the other.

I’m wondering this as well. Will ESPN+ be putting up both?

Because I want to watch part 1 tonight then part 2 on Wednesday so I can spread this shite out. Gotta pace myself

Does anyone know if this is very limited commercials? Or 40 minutes per episode type deal ?
