he won't improve by coming back with SC's dogshit coaching staff.

You can learn on the job.

Why spend another year running around in the backfield trying to save Clay Helton's job.

And isn't he losing Deontay Burnett...aka, the offense?

Oh, I agree. I would get as far away from Helton as possible. I'm just saying don't be surprised if he stays.

He's probably the opposite.

The others had great teams around them.

If anybody is going to be ready to play for a bad NFL team it's probably Sam Darnold.

He's really not though. He's a fantastic quarterback.

He makes terrible decisions, is slow, and has the footwork of an elephant...he’s very raw and needs a load more snaps and a dedicated coach that can fix his problems.

Tyson Helton, Clay Helton's brother, is the QB coach at USC. Darnold is not being coached up properly and has regressed. While it's true that injuries have plagued the OL and half the starters from the first game of the season are out, that's not the only problem. Ball security, lack of concentration and poor accuracy have all plagued him. He's been playing on a gimpy ankle for a few weeks now, which has affected his speed, but there's little doubt he's not NFL ready and in fact has regressed this season.

Having said all that, we've seen his potential in that Rose Bowl game last season. With the right coaching and discipline, he can be a star in the NFL.

Eh, when the Giants end the season with the #1 pick he'll leave.

Wasn't too impressed by him. Potential but not close to being ready for the NFL.
