I'm a Saints fan, but a lot of current saints fans are insufferable. The team is always awesome in their mind,

In real life, it's the exact opposite. Saints are never good enough even after winning a SB according to most fans I know. We are always optimistic about "next year" though.

Because we were in Dreamland in 06 and 09 and 11 compared to what we had done before, and we haven’t really had a suck season since. It’s not wrong that we need one to cleanse the fanbase, but under Payton we’ll never be that bad. I want tickets to be cheap again

Huh? Saints fans were saying that with their old arse QB? Also, how did the Saints not know their new QB would tear his knee?

If Jameis wouldn't have gotten hurt we'd be playing right now.
A NO Saints fan claiming Jameis Winston would’ve saved their season.

I love this board.

Rams ain't winning anything. They can beat Tampa. But in the end there won't be a Super Bowl.

We were a LA meltdown from making the playoffs with a 3rd string QB and a makeshift OL without our top 3 WR playing a snap all year

So how did you wind up doing in the playoffs? I missed that part of your post

Yep, exactly my point. Saints fans thought they were winning a Superbowl with Jameis Winston. Drew Brees won one haha.

Oh so the Saints did make the playoffs? Who did they play last week? I must have missed it.

We were good with him this year

Again, we were a LAR meltdown from making the playoffs without him. We were better with him.

Every team has these coulda woulda shoulda scenarios. Denver should’ve been the playoffs the last five years but we weren’t.

That’s not the same thing. SFP was being called out for his preseason prediction, given the Saints almost made it despite all the injuries particularly at QB his preseason pick wasn’t a bad one.

Here let me make it easier for you:

You said the Saints would make the playoffs this season.

I said the Saints would not make the playoffs this season.

One of us was correct.

Which one of us was correct?

You got incredibly lucky.

Congrats.

You hit a longshot that required about 15 unlucky things to happen. Congrats.

The Rams kind of mortgaged their future to be good now,

I think the Rams will live like that. They will trade away draft picks for established players and sign older free agents. They will be in perpetual win now mode. I think that’s their model.

Reminds me of winners who celebrate hitting their gutshot on the river after going all in on the flop.

remember when SFP told me that they wouldn’t miss a beat with all of their off-season personnel losses and I told him they wouldn’t make the playoffs. He then did a multiple post thesis about how and why I was wrong.

Wonder how that turned out.
I remember when you said Burrow was Joey check down and wouldn’t win a playoff game
