Remarkable that Rich Strike didn't get a single call till he was about to cross the finish

The horse battled all the way back, through traffic and having to make a hard right turn to dodge more traffic in the stretch, he stormed through the pack like he was shot out of a gun, and yet the race announcer never paid him any mind whatsoever until the last seconds. Very strange. And it was a missed opportunity to lend narration to an amazing trip.

He did get a call once they hit the backside the announcer did call all 20 runners then concentrated on the ones who were forwardly placed. Then the next time he got a call was when he made the lead late

Yes, I remember the mention when he was around 18th and the announcer named all 21 horses right away; but I mean that the guy tasked with calling the race did nothing to describe his amazing trip.

Yes, how dare he focus on the favorite and the two or other three horses in the front battling it out. He should’ve been focusing on the 80-1 long shot who started dead last.

What? That was a great call. Rich strike was running 12-15 coming into the backstretch.
