I just thought when they eliminated the 5 yard facemask penalty they were going to stop calling the incidental small ones like that all together and only call the 15 yard obvious ones...not just make every one 15 yards

I am sorry that a guy not even grasping the face mask gets called for a 15 yard penalty on a crucial drive for that. It changed the dynamic completely, but it's just horrid officiating.
Like I said, both teams played like shite, but one got bailed out by the refs in the end and gifted a FG.

Wrong, only blatant facemasks are supposed to be called, but keep trying to change the rules to supprort a bs call. The point of the rule change was to avoid the BS of trying to determine one way or the other by eliminating the ones where the player isn't even pulled by the facemask.
Sad thing is I even think the Cowboys are going to win the division, but they did not deserve this win at all and the refs gifted it to them.

the NFC east is sure going to be an interesting race. All 4 teams are capable of winning it and all 4 are capable of completely shitting the bed.

That didn't matter. Because the Redskins didn't score after their bullshite call and Dallas did, so only one of them counts and the NFL loves Dallas and pays the refs to let them win otherwise they'd be 0-16 every year.
