Robbed is a bit much, since volquez has been terrible and the other three haven't proven much or anything in the big leagues.
Reds want to win now while they still have Votto.

Sooner than later as well. He has great stuff.

Reds still have a shitload of talent in the minors, and are looking to fix their one weakness which of course it starting pitching.
The Reds have played for the future for damn near 20 years now. It's about time they make a run at it.

Grandal has to be the most difficult to part with, who is the Reds catcher now and in the future?

Mesoraco. He's pretty damn good and also a first round pick.

I agree. I probably couldn't have done it but I understand why they did. It's not like they traded all of that for a year or two of Latos, either. They have him under team control for another four.

im joking redfig
this makes them the favorite in the Central
however in 5 years or so they'll prob be kicking themselves if they dont win now.

Yonder in Petco's OF would be a fricking disaster.

I'm assuming this. It's a terrible idea because he's going to be abysmal out there, but they don't really have a choice. Wouldn't surprise me to see Rizzo get some extra AB's in the minors to start the year, but that's only a short term fix anyways.

Latos with run support, what a novel idea.
