Actually...
Not true.
It was released by the Advocate that Mistretta was leaving RHS.
He met with East Ascension officials after he met with Dunham officials.
He signed a contract yesterday afternoon.

Well then let me just say he told me he was going to Dunham before he announced he was leaving RHS.
When it comes to Sports in the Advocate, word gets around alot faster than it gets in the paper.

That's a totally different statement altogether.
That's kind of like saying he left RHS before he announced he was resigning.
I mean yeah, everyone knew this was his last year before the season started but that doesn't mean he turned in his letter of resignation before he actually resigned.
I'm not trying to argue with you. I know you. Your a re a good guy.
I just don't want it to look like Mistretta did something dishonest.

That is true for the most part, but I'll give them credit. In the last couple of weeks they have reported many sports stories as breaking news updating their site.

This.
Having 2 LSU signees on offense justifies it

UHS current middle school team has some potential and with a few "transfers" should be able to compete well in the district over the next few years. I wish LES would get on the ball recruiting kids to play with his kid.

Kenny G's on the phone trying to schedule Dunham. He can't let Mistretta run too far.

I have no idea about high school schedules. I'm just joking.

Mistretta is a douche-rocket. It blows my mind that some people fall over themselves to praise this guy. I'm honestly very surprised his personal skeletons, some of which he openly flaunts, have not hindered his career more.

What kind of "skeletons?"
Please expound on that.

I have to agree with Lea, this isn't the place to open a can of worms. I'll tell you this ain't about coaching...it's moral issues, off the field issues. If you know anything about the guy personallly, you should be able to put the pieces together. I have ZERO respect for him as a human being.

no matter what school they be at
we'll always have a Mistretta vs. Kenny G game somewhat or another...lol

they have been doing this for about the last 5 years. The watershed is about to break at Dunham. Players will be flooding in. With Mistretta as FB and Pixley as BB, talented kids will make the switch.
Not sure where you get your information but my friends at Dunham tell me that there are very few scholarshipped athletes. Many more scholarships given to kids of preachers adn missionaries than to athletes. Headmaster has said taht to get assistance you have to be able to contribute something back to the school in teh form of musical ability, drama, outstanding intellect, athletics, or somethin else. But check the record as per my buddy: very few athletes there on partial scholarship and NONE on full. Really different than what GMistretta is used to, I am told.

Moral of the story is that Redempt and Dunham plays each other next year in district play..
THIS is gonna be an intrestering game..
Hope it's at the "rock"

Dunham has been doing some good work in that area already.
I don't know where you get that info. The son of a friend was one of the best 8th graders in BR a couple years ago. They were interested in going to Dunham. SOmeone called the Football HC Thibodeaux to tell him this family was intested in talking to him about their son playing at Dunham. He told him to have them submit an admission application and once the kid tested and was accepted he would sit down and talk to them. If that's recruiting then its the most passive approach I have ever seen.
The same kid was approached by coaches from Parkview, Episcopal, U High, Catholic and one public school. Multiple times from each. Maybe if Dunham did recruit they would be better.
I don't think Parview has to recruit although eveidently they do some, at least. It seems that kids flock there because they know they will have a chance to win championshps.
And with Catholic's ability to pull in kids from all over, why can't they compete regularly with the powers of 5A. They haven't competed well in what, probably 10-15 years with the big boys? It's somewhat embarrassing for BR football.
