Has the ball that Moreland hit landed yet?

Puig's and Morelands HR's were nearly identical in angle, velocity and distance. Both crushed.

How about Baez in the 8th and KJ in the 9th?

That is pretty novel idea right?
or maybe kenley kn the 8th and then use your best matchups in the 9th? I dont know why people keep assuming kenley was getting all 6 outs. He came in because hes our best relief pitcher and this was the best part of Boston's lineup coming up in a one run game. It makes logical sense to use him there

That's what I like about this Boston FO's approach - lean heavily on advance scouting and mix it with the mathematical stuff.

I think Jansen’s numbers are terrific as a closer for one inning

His multiple inning outings, esp in the playoffs, have never been good

I’ll give him a pass on that due to it not being a save situation, and the overall craziness of that game, but point taken.

That is what was said during last year’s WS, and the playoffs this year definitely haven’t changed that one bit.

so why did he do ok with getting more than 3 outs against Atlanta and milwaukee? Why are we just assuming he was coming in to get all three outs and not just trying to get the three best Boston hitters out?

Go ahead. Cause he was pretty terrific in multiple inning outings going into game 2 last year and he was ok going into last night this year

Clutch strikeout.

Can’t let the Dodgers regain The momentum

Joe Kelly literally just throws high heat and low offspead and let's the hitters to the rest. So boring to watch every pitcher that lights up the radar gun these days. Snoozfest. Same exact approach every batter

I didn’t watch all of the NL playoffs this year, and admittedly haven’t watched the Dodgers as relgiously as you.

But if he went the reg season not throwing multiple innings, and now they’re asking him to do it throughout the playoffs, maybe that’s why he’s losing his effectiveness come WS time

But, I do recall him sucking like a Black Hole this year throughout
