The people that always say X great college team could beat Y terrible pro team are dumb. But those that say the pro team would just roll over the great college team 100-0 are close behind. The NFL team would win comfortably but not 100-0.

Some people don't realize they go overboard on the other end.

The Saints would realistically get 4 possessions a quarter and would score a TD on all of them. Not even accounting for turnovers they would cause, I'll go ahead and say 112-0 would be a very fair score.

I don't think that's "realistic" in the least.

I would genuinely feel bad for players on Bama's D-line if they had to go up against the Saints O-line.

Also, this thread is so MSB. And that is not a compliment.

Alabama has guys on their team that will play in the NFL and even a couple that will start and maybe even play very well next year. So the idea that they would literally never make a stop or a play , which is what 100-0 implies is foolish.

They also have many more players who will struggle and never even make a practice squad or are years away from being NFL ready who would get exposed against the worst players on an NFL roster.

Yea, the idea of just assuming that the Saints will score a TD on every single play is silly.

One false start here, one missed blocking assignment there, and a failed 3rd and 7 conversion gets you a punt or field goal, that would happen a couple of times for sure.

NFL QB Tyrod Taylor with NFL lineman and NFL wide receivers and NFL running backs scored 10 points.

It's honestly not, and it goes for pretty much every NFL team, not just the Saints.

The O line and D line difference from pro to college would be so vast, that any college team would get completely decimated and gassed. The tempo of pro football and the physicality of it would have most kids limping to the bench. The rotating in players, and a college team would never be able to keep up when their 2nd and 3rd string had to sub in to give the 1st team some rest.

Absurd to think this Bama team would do anything positive in a pro game, let alone against one of the best teams in the league.

Doesn't change the fact that you said the Saints basically did the same to Buffalo, so I reminded you they scored 47 in a game where you said the Saints did basically what they'd do to Bama.

I agree. I'm not saying it wouldn't be total domination, I'm saying they wouldn't score 100 and very very likely not score a TD every single possession.

Define "anything positive"

If you think Bama would literally not have 1 positive play, then I'll go ahead and say that is absolutely equally as absurd as someone thinking Bama could compete in the game.
