Miz is pitching as good as any pitcher in history and Smoltz is going to spend the entire broadcast critiquing his mechanics. Man shut the frick up

Same Peej. No shade to their opposition, but the Crew has been the best team all season and I see that continuing.

Rays hitting the ball pretty well. I’m just not sure Martinez will hold up.

Yes smoltz is going way overboard. Just call the freaking game.
And i disagree that Miz is cruising. The swings havent been bad by the Rays. 1st batter missed a HR by a couple feet. He isnt just blowing them away.

Ok. I love the brewers in this series..
I expect the Brewers to win
I just think the NL was much stronger than the AL this season, and the Brewers performed against stronger competition
But the Rays have a damn good team, and both are fun teams to watch.

I think Smoltz provides good analysis from a pitcher's perspective.
Interesting strategy by the Rays to start their ace in game 2. I think it's a smart move not to go ace versus ace in game 1 so they have a better chance of splitting the away games and maybe winning out at home.

They’ve put wood on the ball, I’m just pleased with his pitch count

Noticed this vs Padres. It is a good call

Yeah Mitchell* was not expecting that, he might have taken a step in first

I think it's funny the cougar behind home plate at all the Brew Crew games with her giant milkers hanging out.
I think she and the lady sitting to her right are scoring every pitch. That's awesome.

And Fox sucks not posting the exit velo on the broadcast.

I think that was Mitchell on that play who is a great outfielder. They scored that a hit even though it touched his glove. Rightfully so.

Utterly stupid baseball
Posted on 10/23/26 at 8:43 pm to Dawgsontop34
even with a subpar catcher behind the plate you don't steal there, but with Contreras behind the plate that is even more stupid.
