From best to worst:

SEC football: Not because I'm some sort of SEC elitist guy or anything but it's fun being a part of such a passionate conference. And these are the only games that truly affect you unless you're in the national title hunt.

NFL: Best football around so obviously better to watch.

CFB: Still football so its fun to watch and I can appreciate a good college team, but it's not football at its highest level.

NBA: Lots of great athletes. NBA playoffs are incredible to watch.

MLB: I'm not a huge baseball fan but I like going to games and sorta keep up with the season.

CBB: Wow. It can be really tough to watch. I kind of have a jaded view right though between the Gators' last performance and UGA's dumpster fire of a team this year.

NYou can't rank CFB above NFL when you have good teams playing crappy teams for half of their schedule. At least with the NFL games are closer and eac game could turn out either way.

What if one detriment of CFB is there are too many teams and games to keep track of to follow one or two teams? Particulary with broadcasts?

If this discussion were limited to live viewing of sports, then it'd be college football and nothing else is close.

Basketball, hockey, and soccer disagree.

You don't have built in pauses of play (play clock). It builds suspense, but there are large portions of the game that nothing happens.

College Basketball- I don't think I've ever been excited about a CBB regular season game in my life

It's much better now than 30 years ago when post season tournament teams NIT then NCAA were extremely limited. Teams were scared to lose 4 regular season games for fear of not being selected. So top teams avoided non conference games against quality opponents.

Today you have a lot of top 25 teams playing each other early in the season because they know they're gonna make the tournament.

I'm a big baseball fan, about as big as Pro and College Football. The problem with baseball on TV besides the length of the season is the fact that there is an oversaturation of certain teams on TV (Yankees, Red Sox) just like the NBA, In this area unless you closely followed "Superstation" teams like the Mets, Braves, or Cubs who do you identify with regionally unless you migrated from a franchise's city or metro suburb? If your team is 15 or more games out of their Division or Wild Card lead by the All-Star Break, then what are they playing for? Why continue to follow them unless you play Fantasy Baseball or want to see your team finish above .500 and consider your hopes for next year? I love the lack of playoff teams but I HATE the stupid Wild Card play-in game. They took a greatest final night of a regular season in 2011 and turned into a specticle that now can't develop itself like it did in 2011 unless you are the 3rd best non-Division champion trying for the #2 wild card spot.
