2007 Florida
2012 Kentucky
2009 UNC
2004 UConn
2005 UNC
2008 Kansas

(Gap is intentional)
2006 Florida

Those are the best teams by a wide margin

Then, I'd go with 2010 Duke, 2013 Louisville, and finally 2011 UConn. I don't see how anyone could possibly have any champion from the 2000s below a .500 UConn team that featured freshmen Roscoe Smith and Tyler Olander as starters.

07 UF would've wiped the floor with this Louisville team...

Noah, Horford, and Brewer wouldn't have got destroyed on the boards like Michigan did in the 2nd half last night.

I wouldn't go that far. I would say the 07 Florida and 13 Louisville are very close to each other.

07 Florida has 2 NBA All-Stars. I bet no one from this Louisville team will even sign a 2nd significant contract in the NBA.

UNC in 05 was a better team than the 09 unc squad......... I don't care what a player does after he leaves college.........

The rest.

I don't care that KU had a bigger regular season margin of victory. So they beat High Point or whomever by 67 points. big whoop. What UNC did to Michigan State in Detroit was criminal. 1/9/12 criminal.

they are who you thought they were.........

And you didn't have UNC beaten, LSU hung with them, and the better team took over and won.

1. Florida repeat
2. Unc 09
3. Uk 12
4. Unc 05

None of the rest really stood out as all time greats.

Just curious you are the second person who had the 2005 UNC team ranked ahead of the 2009 team. What is the reason for that?

I just liked the 05 group better. May/Felton/McCants and the Williamses were fun to watch.

both teams had 4 losses that season, and both teams lost in the acc tournament final. hansborough was probably the best player on either team, but you could probably argue that the next 3 best players were on 05(may, mccants and felton). toss in marvin williams as well. 05 had 4 guys drafted in the top 14 of that years draft. to be honest, its like splitting hairs, but i think the 05 team was slightly deeper. also, unc 05 dominated a great 1 loss illinois team for most of the game. unc 09 had the luxury of playing a good(but nowhere near great) mich st team they had beat by 25 earlier in the season.

I am not smart enought to set you up, so you are safe. I was just curious what you thought. Most people would without thought say the 09 team was better, and you and one other guy said the opposite. I was just curious.

Maybe most would say 09 just because 05 seemed like so long ago. I think only Felton and Marvin Williams are in the league now? I think UNC's starting 5 are in. Plus a couple of reserves. I saw Ed Davis on TV a week or two back. I had almost forgotten about him. Weird that I did, he was one of my favorite players at UNC.

i also think the acc as a whole was much better in 05, as you had the chris paul wake forest team, and that georgia tech team that was absolutely stacked

that's exactly why people prefer 09 to 05. 09's players are still on their rookie contracts, and havent had the opportunity to fizzle out yet. may and mccants were 05's 2 best players and they flopped in the nba, but it doesn't take away how great that team was. 2005 unc is almost like the opposite of 2001 miami hurricanes college football.
