I don't really have too much against the Phils.
I would love to keep Cliff, but I don't know if we can outbid the yanks. From everything I've heard he loves it in Texas though, and if he sees that we are making some moves to make the club better, he may take a bit of a cut to stay close to home, etc.

Well I have made my feelings known since trading deadline, I like Lee but I do not want to be paying him 20+ million when he is 35, 36,37, and 38.
I want the Yankees to get younger in the rotation and tying up that much money in payroll isn't good. (Yes I know Yankees payroll really has no ceiling but still)

Yeah. The rangers have a ton of talent in the minors that may get a chance, but I'm not really sure.

Yankees biggest mistake of playoffs was Jeter in lead-off spot, not sure how in hell they will handle that next year. If dude performs way he did this year then no way should he bat higher than 7th in the order.

would jeter go for batting 7th in the order? i could see him coming up limp on a play and saying he is done to bow out gracefully

quote:That is an issue, how can you gracefully move the best modern day Yankee? Especially as he goes for 3000 hits, if he continues to regress with his .250-.275 BA and .300 OBP he should not be at top of lineup.

how far is he from 3,000? it would be weird not seeing him as a yankee and not at short then dropping him to 7th
