I can only imagine what the melt on tRant was like after seemingly blowing a shot at the national championship at home in the final game of the season. Wonder which was worse, that day or 1/9/12. Has to be top 2.

1990 (Defending National Champ, Preseason #1 Miami) @ #16 BYU.
Still can't believe the swaggering Hurricanes traveled to Provo.
As CFBs juggernaut, they didn't need to nor have any upside to fall into that trap with national titles in 1983, 1987, 1989, 1991 and second nationally in 1986 and 1988.

Basically won Detmer the Heisman in September.
Miami finished the season #3 in the AP Poll, BYU finished #22. #4 BYU lost to Hawaii 59-28 in their final regular-season game and then lost to TAMU 65-14 in the Holiday Bowl.

Football in a hurricane
Tony at 5dimes never adjusted the in-game over/under. They had it on autopilot. Every half point the in-game went lower, I was betting $500. Ended up betting my entire account by halftime, then rolled over my 1st half unders to full game once those paid. Won every bet.
