This is really well played by Rondo. Same day it's reported that's lebron needs more help to win a championship Rondo goes out and posts an IG post that basically forces the bulls to trade him.

Even disregarding his problematic behavior, and lack of quality performances, he would be a poor fit with the Cavs team.

To do what? He's shooting 36% from the field this year, doesn't play D anymore, can't shoot from the outside, can't hit FTs.

Why would they do this?

He's a terrible PG and would not fit in well at all on that team.

I'm sure he'll be thrilled with that. He just called his team mates out on social media for criticizing him in the press and he would be going to a team whose superstar player just told the media "my team sucks too bad for us to win."

But the criticisms of Rondo aren't exclusive to this situation. He's not that valuable of player anymore anyways, especially given his lack of fit with this Cavs team.

Although I agree he played well in Boston when he had shooters around him p.s the cavs have shooters plus he would be an upgrade from fielder who has played well as rookie so why not

The Cavs do not have a back-up PG, Felder is a tenth of Rondo. Rondo>>Delly. Cavs aren't looking for someone to win 7 games in the finals, they are looking for someone to take minutes off of Kyrie and LBJ.

Rondo brings 6 points, 6 boards and 6 assists.

14 million a year.

What does Cleveland have to give to get him?

they have two first rounders left out of the next 4 years.
thanks to a previous Cleveland team/owner being perceived as so terrible at drafts and trades, the Commissioner changed the trade rules. Now you have to have somewhat equal players and money going back and forth.

It ruins trading. let people do their best and stay out of the way.

Absolutely serious.

I could see it working if he was on the floor with all of the shooters. But with LeBron on the floor, an atrocious shooter who requires the ball is just not a good fit. It's like whatever problems existed with similar issues given the style of D-Wade, who is a superior shooter and player, they would be increased significantly.

But Rondo is a player who can somehow devalue an assist. He can make a fundamentally unselfish stat somehow selfish.
