Why does St. Amant wear orange jerseys for this game every year?

For this game EA wears camo and St Amant wears orange. EA wears camo to represent hunting gators. St Amant wears hunter’s orange to show they ain’t scared, come get us if you can

When did this start? I know it was tradition for the students to wear it leading up to the game but when I was in HS the teams still wore their traditional unis for the actual game. Haven't attended one for a long time so I'm probably out of the loop

Two teams pretending that the AP is still about them, while Dutchtown in 25 yrs surpassed both, and Prairieville is 3 yrs in to pretending both dont exist
