Turner Gill is putting together a pretty damn good coaching staff in Kansas. I'd probably take both of those coordinators over LSU's current pair.

only if I had to take the pair. I'd def take Long, but probably not Torbush.

idk about torbush. he had some terrible years at tamu, but it might have been due to just terrible defensive talent
seriously though, i think kansas could be very good with the right coaching. frick, kansas state was good for a while, and ku > ksu in the state. get some good players in there, and who knows what they could do in the north

I like the Long hire, but Torbush is still a big risk. I might take Chavis

IMO The level of shittiness of LSU's offense makes the Defense look worse.
They never put together sustained drives.
With the T.O.P. that skewed the defense can only do so much.

The offense has nothing to do with 3rd and Chavis, but that could be Earl Lane's fault too.

I didnt say the defense doesnt have its problems....just that the offense being so bad makes it look worse.

my thoughts on the chavis D summed up by someone else lastnight
taking torbush over him was a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point.

However, his defenses do not dominate or take control of games. When there is a spot in a game where the defense HAS to step up and take over, his D is not it and that is what drives everyone crazy. No dominant episodes for the most part.

Its like the old saints....3rd and 8 just means a 9 yard play is about to happen.
