I thought I made that abundantly clear a few posts ago.
You said he was a dick. There’s not really any evidence supporting that. You not liking him is entirely different.
quote:
You're the one in here white-knighting for him for whatever reason.
I have my reasons, just as some have their reasons to dislike the guy. It’s not hard to figure out.

You do realize we can have different opinions about the same topic, right? This is America, Jack,
But my name isn’t Jack

Seeing Pop in that clip paired with how emotional Kerr was about him the other day makes me think he is sick.
I hope not, but that looks like a man without a ton of time left.

The extremist voters from both sides of the isle are why we are just continuing thru a cycle of four years of one party, followed by four years from the other side. Not enough people voting "for" candidates. Everyone gets tired of one side, and we vote them out.
It's those damn Executive Orders. They've given the executive branch of the government too much power. Having Supreme Court Justices die during a president's term only adds to his power. Congress doesn't do anything under either party. Their job is to get re-elected. A POTUS that pisses off a lot of the voting populace is just about the only thing that works against them. They just talk a big talk, shake a lot of hands, kiss a lot of babies and gain generational wealth for their families.
God, we are screwed. The other side will vote their guy back in soon enough. Rinse and repeat.
Obama was smart. He waited for his 2nd term to start pissing folks off. He'd already had a huge effect on the future with judicial appointments. Two supreme Court justices and what seems like countless other judges. He also earned credibility for other Democrats to be elected. Then he went off the deep end during his second term with his executive orders. In those four years we went from a country that respected the law, to one that said F it, I'm getting mine, and I'm taking it from you. It was enough for Trump to get elected.
After all of the media, except Fox, disagreeing with everything Trump said, and having to hear him call anyone that disagreed with him childish names, people thought an old, quiet, guy, like Joe Biden, might be a bearable President. He may have been, but we'll never know. The Democratic elites did Biden's bidding for themselves, then ditched him. His time was so bad, Trump sounded like a good idea again.
We're doing it to ourselves. Nobody in Congress wants any change is this system. Regardless of who's POTUS, most keep getting elected. The judicial branch doesn't want any changes. The ones that make it to the top are there until they die. Don't worry, we'll be doing it again in four years minus 106 days.
