I read last week that when the new coach took over, Weiss left him with only 38 players on scholarship. If they can only add 25 per year, they are going to be terrible for a long, long time.

Exactly. There were several big schools looking at him, but the risk outweighed the reward. Hell, he had to sit out last week due to non-football related issues. My guess is that it had something to do with the clearinghouse. They didn't even know he was going to play until game day. I'm glad to see Pooka get on the field. I loved watching him the last few years at Hahnville. The kid is a game-changer. I just hope he can stay eligible.
