War as they knew it.
It is about Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, and the 10 year war and also about how they coached during some of the most socially difficult years in US history. Im not an OSU or Mich fan, but this book is fantastic

The Leftovers: Basketball, Betrayal, Baylor and Beyond - Matt Sayman
"Accusations, attempted cover-ups and betrayal surrounded the summer of 2003 ending with the disintegration of a rising program. Those events ripped my life, as I knew it, apart. Playing basketball for Baylor was the realization of a lifelong dream. I could have never foreseen the devastation that would rock our foundation.
Coach Scott Drew took over a broken program, whose members were left scarred and guarded. His vision of “hope in the future” was hard to swallow.
Yet, in the midst of so much pain, a miracle happened. Our brotherhood of Leftovers banded together. Each game we were considered the underdogs, yet our dogged determination didn’t deter our desire to play.
As co-captain of that team, I tell a story of tragedy, personal struggle, anger, shaken faith, and perseverance. Surprisingly, I learned that we inspired our university, community, and nation with our never quit attitude. Our team and coaches set the foundation for Baylor basketball.
Most remember hearing about bizarre events at Baylor, concerning men’s basketball. But The Leftovers is the story behind the story."

Fantastic book if you're looking for something that's not as serious. I read it in one afternoon and laughed the whole way.

Has anyone read The Glory of Their Times: The Story of the Early Days of Baseball Told by the Men Who Played It by Lawrence S. Ritter?
The Glory of Their Times
I have an audible account and usually listen to books on my way home from work. Using the original tapes and hearing the stories straight from the players sounds like a good listen.

Thanks. I'll check it out. Listening to audiobooks makes sitting in traffic way easier to handle.
