Well the part of my post you questioned was in reference to if USC wins this week. So yeah, they should 100% be ahead of LSU if they win this week.
And USC still should be ahead of them now. Ya’ll are acting like LSU has a top 5 win on the road. The Alabama win shouldn’t warrant ignoring a 27 point arse beating at home.

LSU has wins against 7 and 20. Both at home. They also lost twice. Once at home and once at neutral site.
USC has wins against 18 and 21. Both on the road. They have one loss, on the road.
LSU doesn’t have any sort of overwhelming better resume that warrants them being ahead of USC right now given an extra loss.

The takeaway is if LSU wins out, USC wins out...USC can't overtake LSU...that's what the committee is saying.

The committee has gone full retard putting a two loss team, one of the losses which was a complete drubbing, ahead of a one-loss P5 team whose only loss was by one point on the road against a better than average team.

Committee is more enamored with LSU getting blown out by the #10 team in the country than any of USC's wins. I can't remember a team ranked so high at the end of the year that lost by that many points...and had two-losses.

You are wrong. The current ranking is the correct way to do it. Georgia is currently #1. If LSU beats Georgia then they will obviously get in over USC. They set it up this way because if LSU beats Georgia and USC is #5 people would bitch about LSU jumping USC even if USC wins out.

You can’t bitch about a team being ahead of you if they beat #1. There’s also no reason to bitch about being behind them knowing that you are in if they lose.

The rankings shouldn’t be based on “setting up” future rankings. It should always be based on resume. Why does this even need to be said?
